I caught about 10 minutes of todays race and the weather looked as if it would have been an awesome race as long as there was no safety car.  How did it turn out?

I am really out of touch with snooker ATM. 

Seems to me that there is a lack of top class talent pushing through.  I remember a few years back when the likes of Higgins, Williams, Stevens, O'Sullivan etc were all coming through at roughly the same time.

Is it something to do with the way the rankings work?  I am not sure of the answer.

I would seem to me that if O'Sullivan turns up and bothers to try he wins.  Is that unfair to the other players?
