What's the turnout/structure like at Star City? Thinking of heading down today for the £30 1R, but don't want to get two buses just to find that only 10 people turn up.

Ok, I'm not one of these 'online poker is rigged', tin foil hat nutjobs - but I swear I've seen an absolutely inordinate number of quads on Sky Poker.

When job searching, the first thing I do is search for 'poker' on indeed.co.uk.

I think I may be a tad addicted.

Also BUMP

Ah cool. That surprises me a bit, I've been to the Gala a couple of times and it's been completely dead, I didn't even realize they had a poker room.

Bump.

Anyone ever played any tournaments at the Gala Casino near New Street? I'm thinking of heading there tonight as I am sick of the Broadway Casino. They have a £30 deep stack listed tonight, but I have a feeling I will turn up and there will be about 6 runners.

LOL at Blom 80/1. He'd get far too bored by day 2.

Cool. I'm the shy guy who looks a bit like Stu Ungar with facial hair.

There's a Sky Poker tour going on?

I was looking for a thread like this. I hardly ever play live and I don't really have many IRL friends who play poker. Think I'm gonna head down to the Broadway in Birmingham tonight to play the £40 deepstack and I'm a bit anxious about the breaks. I always feel like I'm just lurking and I normally just end up buying an extortionately priced drink just to do something.

Also, any comments on the Broadway itself? I have only been once before and I had a pretty naff experience. My tournament table was full of idiots, one guy threatened to 'chin' me after doubling me up and another gave me a really antagonistic lecture on why my pre-flop call with 87s was 'shit'. I guess I just got unlucky that night?

"John Terry will be on hand to co-win the trophy" LOL

The whole 'pretending the deal doesn't exist' thing is a bit daft, but I guess they've been instructed to do so by the organizers. Other than that the commentary is good.

Deal Sad

Obviously makes sense, but less interesting for us watching.
