Cheers Woodsey! I'm good thanks mate. Life's great actually. I changed the name because i just wanted to dissociate myself from the name amatay as I had a short spell back teaching at a University last year. Used to be a lot of shit on the net what with my old blog etc Smiley Hope you're well mate.

Hi everyone, Amatay here Smiley I hope it's ok to post this? I have not posted on here for a while but I still regularly read the forum and continue to play Poker for a living, mainly on Party Poker, Ipoker and FTP.

I've recently been searching for a hardcore endurance challenge to train for and complete. One that provides both a significant personal achievement whilst also raising money for others.

I must be mad but I've decided to run a 106km Ultra marathon on the Isle of Wight in April next year. To give it some context, that's two and a half marathons in one day. I've never even run a marathon before so this presents a huge challenge.

I gave quite a bit of thought towards the charity I'd like to run for and eventually decided on Children With Cancer.

So many of us are affected by Cancer in one form or another and it must be awful for the children and their families. I read recently that everyday 10 families receive the news that their children have cancer Sad

So, I'd really appreciate it if you could donate a small amount of money and sponsor me  to complete this challenge. The training for this event and the actual event itself is going to be a massive mental and physical test for me. It's going to be fucking hard!

You can either send by clicking on the link below or maybe some of you could send to simonjjj on Stars and I will make sure it gets to the charity. Cheers! Smiley

Think I posted too many hands? Can just do 1 PLO/ 1 Holdem hand in the future if you guys prefer.

No! I really like the HH's. I really like hand 3 NL. Definitely a spot i find myself in sometimes when I iso a limp or 3b an open and the get cold called behind. It's always 88-1010 type hands or AQ etc. They don't wanna 4b gii and they don't want to fold. Really enjoy your posts mate Smiley

Amatay?

He's teaching now and playing far less poker.

After a stint in Boston he's back in the UK. He posts here now for some weird reason as donkeybob1

Alright, not been logged in here since late last year but still browse Cos and Patrick's diaries.

I was lecturing at a university for 2 days a wk and still playing Poker alongside. The teaching was great but it was a temporary position and finished last summer. Also, I almost moved to Boston with my ex-girlfriend but that didn't happen. Been playing 'full time' for a living again the past 12 months and it's going ok. Got another interview at a good Uni in London for a 0.5 position lecturing position soon. A combination of teaching and poker is perfect for me so fingers crossed. Feeling the best I've maybe ever felt at the moment tbh. Life's great! Smiley

Carry on as your are with the account.

Where u at now? Thought US was a possibility with bird..... Future travel plans?

In short, I split up with her in June/July. My decision, all good. So obviously Boston was off the cards. I had been back teaching part time for a yr at a University alongside Poker. Two days a week lecturing Sport Psychology to undergrads which I loved but it was a temporary position. Since June it's been Poker full time again although I did start teaching on a Mondays at an FE college a few weeks ago. Poker is going ok and i've been kind of enjoying it.

Only travel plans for 2015 right now are Krakow, Poland and Marbs for a stag do Smiley I've got the travel bug again atm thou and have been craving to get away. Three possibilities include an epic South American trip or maybe back to Asia as I never really did north Thai, north Laos and i've only ever been to Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam. I've also thought about going to Hungary for one-three months. Using Budapest as a base and exploring the surrounding countries/cities like Zagreb and ljubljana etc.

Life's good mate Smiley Hope you are well? Any travel plans yourself?

Out of principle you should close your mum's account immediately.

And then out of financial benefit your auntie should contact me shortly for a cracking rb deal.....

hahahahaha winner.

Probably not going to get many decent answer but at least i'm pissing myself laughing at some of these repsonses.

ffs what should I do?

Is there any reason to change the accounts you're currently using, other than the fear that you'll bink big and your 'cover' will be blown?  Will the site care that a 58-year old woman has just won a big comp and grinds serious volume?

what happens when they want to interview the high volume middle aged woman? what happens if they even try and contact 'her' once.  sick optimism though Cheesy

Haha yh thats what I mean. Can see Matt Pitt (aka yorky pud) doing an article on Pokernews about my mum binking a big one and flying up the P5 rankings. Just seems a bit dodge.

Got to respect my optimism Titbean Smiley

The rakeback deal lasted about a year. I don't get rb anymore and haven't done for a long time. I want to keep my 'mums' account as its not right to have a different name and perhaps have an edge over opponents. I have certain dynamics with certain players. If I had another name then obviously I create an unfair advantage however it can also work against me as i have a opinion of how I think certain players perceive me and adjust accordingly etc. I want to keep the same username but my bank details.

Hi all,

First thing for those of you that don't know this is Amatay Smiley I had tighty change my account name a while ago for a few reasons. Anyways, the main point of this thread is a 'dodge' Poker account I have on one particular site. I've been playing poker since 2003/4 and originally the poker account was in my own name. In about 2005 maybe 2006 some random guy offered me a rake back deal but I had to open another account using another name. My mum has since had a very successful Poker account Smiley

I know this is frowned on by the poker community etc but probably less so back then. It's not as thou I was any playing in any remotely big games anyways and never used my new account to create an edge for example. It's not something I would ever do since I started playing for a living in 2008.

I've always been a lazy grinder with very small mincey bollocks. However, my volume has significantly increased in the last 5-6 months, I've been winning a decent amount, plus recently I've really found some extra motivation and ambition which I've lacked previously. Basically I plan to play a lot next year and also plan to play more of the bigger flagship tournaments etc. What I'm worried about is that If I was lucky to bink a chunky tournament on a Sunday or something it may look a little odd that a 58 yr old women from Watford has won it and and that she plays a large level of volume etc lol.

So the dilemma. Do I.....

a, Keep playing on my 'mums' account
b, Contact the site and explain the situation, or....
c, Withdraw from 'mums' account and just open a fresh new account.

Personally, I want to keep my 'mums' account but want it under my name. However, I am worried I will get banned.

Appreciate your opinions. Cheers!
