Dunno who penned it...Just saying that insta flaming it not really fair considering they are right really, its just a question of the interpretation of the wording on how long the person is looking down at their chips. I say tomato, you say 'fuck off you yank'.

The chip glance simply refers to a player looking down at their chips before the action gets to them once the flop has been dealt
What if, like me, the player never looks at his cards until the action is on him/her?
Then you are probably not a weak player, and what does this have to do with looking at your chips?

I agree with this article for the most part tbh as long as the glance is for a little while (think 'brief' prob means something different to many people here than what it does to the author). A lot of the week players in live games usually sit like still or make a really quick look down when they have the nuts but start looking at their chips for a little while or wriggling around with chips trying to look strong when they want to bluff. Obv with all live tells it is very player dependent but I've seen a lot of guys that do this consistently when they making a move.

Why Moorman Is Golden, Part MCXIV: Moorman raises preflop with T-8 and receives two callers. Now because the poor guy never receives any breaks, the poker gods deem it correct to gift him a 9-7-6 flop and the awesomely named Costas Hola was holding 7-7. Moorman also finished off Alan Stearn mostly with 4-4 on a J-4-J-Q-A board vs J-T though he said, "I fold for my last 2,000 if he check/raises all-in!" Just as I watch Nick Slade fold to a min check/raise on the river of a board, Toby Lewis told me a hand that Martin Malone played against Karl Schefler. Apparently Schefler raised to 1,000 preflop (blinds 50/100), Malone reraised to 3,000 from the big blind with Kings and Schefler instantly made it 5,000. Malone did the big old tank/dwell/fold sequence and Schefler, who in Lewis' words, has been playing 'odd', showed Aces. Nice life IMO

Good news for Moorman fans, as he has doubled up with vs the of Laurence Houghton. With blinds at 600/1200/100 Houghton had raised to 3200 in the cutoff, and Moorman moved all in for an extra 8800 from the SB. The rest, as they say, is history. Moorman scooping up the shipped pot weeeeee
