I know I said i was quitting till BB3 but I had a really long weekend and I was needing a bit of relaxation, I picked up the lappy entered a freeroll and won $4, Happy days, now I had been evaluating a few things over the weekend with my statistics and paying particular attention to the ... cough  ... bluffing ratio.

So back to today, i plop my slowly enlarging by the day arse on the sofa and play a freeroll, I make it to the final table and bust with my bullets outdrawn by big slick, no big deal, I was happy to finally place in a while. I then head on to my favorite forum and read one of sarks many posts, this one was infact quite enlightening, not to say that sarks posts are chaff, however this one stayed with me more than any other, It explained how Chris "Jesus" Ferguson had turned $1 in to $10,000, so with a little bit of confidence I decide to register for a 60 cent MTT, I busted out in 4th with my set outdrawn by the straight, again no complaints about the beat, its not the first or the last.

So I analysing what I have done differently and its quite simple really, I treated all of my opponents like mugs, people who refuse to let go of a hand, who wont understand that that may be behind or for lack of a better description I would pretend every opponent was Kev.

Now did i bluff i hear you ask, well yes, I would bluff against the people who could actually play, I determined who could play by the bet sizes, People who would bet the correct size in comparison to the pot, Although I curtailed my bluffing by limiting it to 2 in every 4 orbits.

Strange how the little things make so much difference to your game, Now its off to get some sleep.

I know its my Monday ramble please feel free to ignore.

Cheers

Billy

not so much a mystical revelation, More like I was too close to the problem to see where i was going wrong, A good example of this is I was making very accurate reads yet still calling people just to confirm what i knew!!

Where i would have been better to save the chips I wanted to prove my read was bang on!!, sounds daft i know, but i was a bit unsure of my reads over the last 3 - 4 months. SO a bit more comfort in knowing my reads are good helps me see the woods for the trees.
