I watched a feature on Euronews earlier. It was about the stages of development currently in progress which will make cars safer for road users around the World. With the increasing numbers of cars on our roads each year, this seems like a positive step for the future of road safety. Car designers are working on technology which will make all cars increasingly controlled by electronics.
I am not a technical minded person, so can't really explain it very well
