Had a fantastic weekend in Berlin.
As well as the final a highlight was being at the Fan Fest on The Saturday for the Germany Portugal game. this had several large screens and loads of beer and Wurst stands. What more can you want, superb.
Being at the final was a great experience, with an excellent view of the game. Really enjoyed the first half, but as the 2nd half started we had the feeling that penalties were on the way as both sides kept too many players at the back to really have a go at winning the game.
No-one saw the head butt and all the neutrals thought the ref were conned hence the boos that you may have heard on the tv. Must admit to shouting Rooney a few times  as it was the same ref involved. An Italian near us explained that it was the most obvious elbow in the face you could ever see. Luckily I managed to text home to find out what had happened. It did leave a bit of a flat feeling in that were France robbed as the Italian had done something to get a reaction, or was Zidane an idiot for what he did. Either way neither probably team deserved to win the World Cup Final on the strength of their football.
A few more currywurst and beers and left when they wanted to turf everyone out at 2 in the morning. Photos to follow when I get time, but right now I am knackered.

Sounds great Ed.  Did you get hassled for your autograph a lot, or were you able to walk around just like a 'normal' person in Germany?

I don't sign autographs anymore as they only end up on Ebay.  Cheesy
