As I promised elsewhere, I want to set out clearly the relationship between APAT blonde, & how it wil be policed. The ponts below will, I hope, anticipate many of your thoughts & questions.
1) The relationship between APAT & blonde.
There is no relationship, none whatsoever.
2) Who from blonde is involved with APAT?
Richard Prew (Tight End) is the Media Director of APA (Amateur Poker Ltd), who own the APAT. I will explain in the other thread the APA/APAT structure & relationship. This is key to understanding where we all sit.
Mel Lofthouse (Londonpokergirl) is the Tournament Director of APAT.
Des Duffy (DesD) is the Managing Director of Amateur Poker Ltd.
I am the Chairman of APAT. (Note, APAT, NOT Amateur Poker Ltd).
3) Why so many blondes involved?
It just fell that way. Take a cross section of Poker in the UK these days, & it's likely to include a bunch of blondes. Any festival Final Table usually includes 4 or 5 blondes minimum. It's just the way things are. I will explain in the other thread how we became involved.
4) How will APAT threads be Moderated, given Tighty & tikay's role as Moderators?
Tighty & myself informed the other Mods that both of us would disqualify ourselves from Moderating on APT threads. The other Mods will Moderate them as nomal. They have full power to ensure any APAT thread or Post is blonde-compliant, & will delete as they see fit.
5) Will APAT Threads be Stickied?
Any Member has the right to request a thread to be stickied. If this request were made for an APAT thread, it is for the Mods, minus Tighty & myself, to decide. In practice, it's highly unlikely this is ever going to happen.
6) Why has APAT been allowed to Post on blonde today?
The APAT Launch seems, to me, to be an event of note in the Poker Community, & as such warrants inclusion. There is a major PR exercise in train today. Poker Player Magazine (one of the APAT Sponsors) has published an article on APAT. The same "release" has been given to all the Major Poker Fora & Poker news outlets. There is no good reason to exclude blonde from this. Press Packs have also gone to the Print Media (Poker Europa, CardPlayer, Inside Edge, Bluff, etc). Coverage on the APAT can be anticipated on PNL & Poker 425 this week, an interview with APAT on PNL is probable. (In which I shall handle the conflict of interest perfectly properly of course).
OK, now I will start a new Thread explaining my personal position, & how it intercts (if at all) with blonde, & coming up with a bunch of FAQ's.
Thanks.
Tony Kendall Chairman, APAT.
