Guys following on from the thread on Live poker about what effectively became a treble chance freezeout organised by Glorious and officepoker.net I have tried my hand at coming up with a structure i think would be welcomed by most players who are likely to attend an event in the Stanley.  I have based this on a freezeout event with say a starting stack of 4 k, i would hope that for an event like this it would achieve 50 - 60 runners.

dont like the clock reducing to 20 minutes when the play is more meaningfull it thus turns it into a crapshoot and therefore only good for the tv cameras and the spectators who want to watch alot of preflop all ins rather than skillfull flop play

start with a 25 minute clock and move to a 45 minute clock

Point taken Ironside.

The only issue with this is that if the tourney is held again on a Saturday night like the one just passed it has to be wrapped up by 4 am, I think by increasing the clock this would certainly over run.

What about Starting on a 20 minute clock for the first 4 levels and then making it a 30 minute clock and reduce the 15 minute to 10 minute break?

I think it suits the purposes of a small buyin freezeout well. Antes in self dealt tourneys are a pain in the arse though, self deal can be slow enough without havin to prompt for and collect the antes but apart from that I like em.

yeah antes are great but in a self dealt comp they just cause problems and fights

another solution to the time is start the comp 2 hours earlier

btw dont know why i am even commenting on this due to the lack of access for the disabled so ignore everything i said and make it 10 minute levels at the start and 5 minutes after the first hour
