It's David Lynch and it's got pretty lesbians in.

I'll nominate "White Men Can't Jump"

  A total classic.

In fact, any film with Wesley Snipes is an instant classic. Passenger 57, Rising Sun, Demolition Man, Money Train and of course, Blade!

My favorite movie of all time is Beautiful Girls. It was made about 10 years ago and is absolutely fantastic.

Natalie Portman is 12 years old in it and she gives an amazing perormanece. Matt Dillon does a great job as well. Timothy Hutton is perfect for his character and Michael Rapaport is great.

If you have never seen it, get it.

I found the Baz Lurmann Take of Romeo and Juliet particularly good

one of my favourites.

I do like the Shawshank Redemption, but I wasn't too keen on it the first time I saw it, probably because I'd read the book - I've yet to find a film that lives up to a book  (although am looking forward to His Dark Materials coming out next year nevertheless)

Now the book is more of a distant memory, I would rate Shawshank as one of my favourite films.

Shawshank is a classic movie.

1984 - I read the book straight after watching the film on the same night. I'm trying to get hold of the story "On the road to wigan pier". I've heard it's a classic. Oh and "Brave new world". I want to read that sometime.

Another two films worth watching - "Layer Cake" which was produced on a small budget but has an excellent storyline.

"As Good As It Gets" - Went to the pictures and decided to watch this one, without knowing anything about the movie beforehand. Was laughing my head off within the first 5 minutes, and in tears just a few minutes afterwards. Not many films can do that.
