Forget reformatting mate, only do it if absolutely necessary!!
If FF works and you like it then use it, simple really.

Of course not.

Nem if you use the software in the link i gave you (in your pc thread) then you can save a snapshot of your system after a fresh format. Then reformatting takes about half an hour (plus backup time) as opposed to half a day.

My work computer i had to rollback (=reformat) about a month ago, that was the first time in 18 months but that's because i buggered it up trying to get Intel fortran + microsoft's C++ and sdk to work with some finite element software (honestly, microsoft can't write anything that works).

On my home computer i haven't had to reformat in 2 years (i use opera). I run nod32, etrust spyware guard, pcbugdoctor (it works and doesn't delete things you actually need) and o&o defrag. No problems.

Exactly, only mess with it if you have to!

What link?  I cannae remember

The amount of shit you get from downloading torrents and re-installing means I like to reformat every 6months for Optimum Performance. (maybe I'm wrong in doing this)

I use Diskeeper Premier Professional for defrag.

Can I ask why you use Opera? I did use it for a while but it is very buggy.

The link was for restoreIT.

Opera was my first alternative to IE so i am familiar with it. I got fed up with IE about 3 years ago so i went in search of others. Opera claimed to be the fastest (don't they all) and i liked the little bar that popped up at the bottom so i knew if i was actually downloading a page or if my connection was hanging (i think you can get  a FF plugin for that now). I also liked the way i could start my browser from the last place i left off (as you mentioned before). Since then they have added a feature so that you can reopen a tab (if you accidently close it) and you still navigate backwards (i.e. it's not just reloading the last page you were at). Now you can also download a torrent using opera although you can only limit up/download bandwidth at the beginning of the download. The only quirk i have had was when i tried to view secure pages, sometimes it would take ages to load but that was sorted by changing max total connections to 128 (from 20) in the preferences menu. Finally, it was developed by some european guys (polish i think).
