stars' famed customer support just replied 2 h 45mins later!!!!!!!!

Hello Ian,

Please keep in mind that you will not be able to un-register from an event
within the ten minutes previous to the tournament start. I noticed the
event has started and you are playing it.

If there is anything else I can help you with, please do not hesitate
to contact us.

Regards,

Gabriel
PokerStars Support Team

Next time you have two choices:

1) Read the name of the tournament, if it says "limit omaha h/l deepstacks" then this would be a clue.

or

2) If you do enter by mistake then email support straight away and make up an excuse "My son needs to be rushed to hospital and it wont let me unregister" then turn off pokerstars and take no part in the tournament.

I've done this before and when they see that i've sat out the entire tourney they've either given me my money back or entered me into another tourney of the same value at my request. (note in the email they mention "I notice the event has started and you are playing it").

Obviously you only get away with it once every blue moon but still better than insanity Wink

I fell asleep LOL.
I have to say i'm a bit bemused by this 10 minute thingy, i have had an account there for a few years and never knew!!!
I also never realised till last night (is that a good thing?) that stars don't have proper customer support, everyone always bangs on about it but i assumed it would be great.......it ain't.
Oh well, lessons learnt Cheesy

You made a mistake.

Get over it. You said the hid the 10 minute rule yet where you wouldn't find it yet you missed the fact it was a limit tournament which was in the title of the tournament.

Whether you like stars or not 2 hours and 45 minutes for email support would compare very well in the industry i'm sure. (it's well known to put urgent in the title for even faster service).

This incident is probably a good example of why they don't have live help. Too much hand holding and not enough actual important helping.

I have never denied the mistake, i am a fool and i'm sure i will make a fool out of myself again.......

Having played online poker for quite a few years now on a plethora of sites i find it strange that you think i should have known about the 10 minute rule, NO OTHER SITE DOES IT!!!
So why should i look for something that i didn't think or expect to exist?
It's like me searching thru crypto's site to see if i am allowed to raise on a final table on the offchance they have an unique, obscure rule that might prevent this.

As to CS well obviously you feel that no direct support if fine and 2 3/4 hrs respond time is also ok, our opinions will never meet here i'm afraid.
You can call every other site directly, maybe you have to hold a while or even explain to different people but i doubt you will be on the phone for that long.

Anyway i am now over it, thanks for the help..........
