Is a classic though unfortunately never aired on tv, all the cast and writers decided to shoot the one off at christmas as a "present" for those working at Thames TV.

A bit like the urban myth that the characters in Captain Pugwash were "Seaman Staines", "Master Bates" and "Roger the cabin boy". The character that lead to the confusion was "Master Mates" when at the end of one episode a line uttered by Captain Pugwash did sound a little mispronounced!!

The episode as matt says was made as a joke. They used to do a lot of things like that in the days before archives where kept as routine, and certanily before outtakes became a staple saturday TV viewing .

i was away for a weekend break a few months back in Dumfries wi the missus
