I think the guy was an actor at one time.
We should never take our health for granted.

He's been criticised by the Republican party because he supports the Democrats on stem cell research. With the forth coming elections dirty campaigning is now well underway. American politics can be very grubby.

I am all for stem cell research. This is a controversial subject I know, but my view is if there is a potential cure for terrible illness then why not allow it.

its sad that hes got this illness but not sad at all that he's out and about trying to raise awareness for stem cell research. i dont know my position on it but if most stem cells are simply thrown away, then whats wrong with using them for research?

I am quite well read on stemcell research and treatment and have seen first hand the benefits of it to someone who's quality of life has improved due to it.
The problem with it is that it cannot offer any guarantees as to its benefits as it does NOT make a difference to a lot of people.
It really is pot luck as to whether it will help you or not. It is obscenely expensive to get privately, but that is the only option.

I recently accompanied a friend to Holland to have Stem Cell treatment, She has MS quite bad ... Almost Immediately after the treatment, she began to get some feeling in her legs... something that she hadnt had for almost 5 years.
It has been a few months since we returned, and she is definately a lot more supple in her joints and has more control over her movement. Its not a miracle cure and she is not running marathons, or even walking , but it has definately made improvements to her quality of life, and that was all she was really hoping for.
I have heard of no cases of the stem cell treatment being harmfull, it either works or it doesnt I believe.
