but as for mods asking for him to come back pleeeeeeeeezzzzzzeeeeeeee!
I'm not sure I get your meaning here, would you care to elaborate?
yes tank il elaborate just 4 you lol
what i mean is that i dont think it should be expected of moderators to ask a member who has been suspended to return to blonde (or any other community for that matter)
i shall assume that when the suspension was imposed that the moderators would have told him that at the end of his suspension he was welcome to return.
i dont think anymore contact is needed and the suspended member has the choice to return to the community or not.

well, I don't know the full story, but if he feels his suspension wasn't warrented (which reading between the lines seems to maybe be the case), perhaps he just doesn't want to come back. I don't know if I would. Agree it is a shame though, it's not the same without him around.
please come back Nem!
i read between the lines and on the lines and theres no maybe about it
he deserved his ban!
but he's done his time and i agree the place isn't the same without him.
but as for mods asking for him to come back pleeeeeeeeezzzzzzeeeeeeee!
if nemesis returns to blonde and is how he was 99% of the time then that can only be good for blonde and the community and i like many others will say "welcome back nem"
Some people believe nem deserved his ban, others dont.
Its an opinion thing, asfor between the lines, this always exists in any situation, its like the 3 sides of a story rule, one side for each party and another for what is the truth.
Dont shout people down for having an opinion mate thats what blonde is about.
I did hear something funny the other day however, and that was that blonde is becoming a dictatorship, if so who is Dick?
your right billy there are 3 sides of the story, but i was indirectly involved in the situation which led to the suspension and in my opinion he deserved his ban.
i certainly wasn't shouting anyone down for having an opinion

Who cares ? Life is too short surley? Nemesis was a good poster and I hope he comes back but dredging up the ban thing again is utterly futile.
Exactly, why do some folks just wanna jump onto a thread just to (once again) say they are right, leave it as is.
It isn't a debate as to whether it was right or wrong.
i think you will find i didnt start this thread.
i also think you'll find it was'n't me who said first whether nemesis's suspension was warranted or not.
i just see a post with information on which imo was wrong and commented on it.
a forum, a community a debate.

I can't really see what the point is of banning anyone for two weeks. If someone is a proper troublemaker ban them for good. But in the case of regular and valued members who may infringe the rules somehow I'm sure a friendly word would have been quite suffcient. The whole thing does rather smack of petty officialdom excercising arbitary power just because they can.
a number of friendly words were given and ignored as far as im aware.

This thread is folowing a familiar pattern, people making statements when they don't know the facts. We did have several friendly words with Nem, then we gave him a friendly warning. then we gave him a final warning, then we suspended his account for two weeks.
If you think we are just exercising arbitrary powers just because we can, that's your prerogative, there are plenty of unmoderated forums out there if you want to use one.
If you agree that a friendly word is the way to go, then hear this. I'm asking you all now, as a friend. Please, let it go!
but red we are only debating certainly no baiting or flaming on this thread not that im aware of anyway.

You have responded to six posts on the bounce on this subject, perhaps with only one being directly to you. This subject realy needs to die and it isn't going to happen like that. Yes you may know more of the facts than others but you also have a motive to side with one of the people.
This thread was simply someone seeing if one of the most frequent blonde posters was returning and has somehow turned back round to 'I think it was wrong' 'I think it was right' (not saying ITB did that)
I really don't think you'll see Nemisis posting on Blonde again, unless Spurs win something... no hope!

How long before this subject is taboo and any mention of it leads to a ban ?
Whats done is done. Doesn't matter who is right or wrong.
If you want to encourage someone to post then contact them. PM or email.
If you think blonde is no longer useable because someone doesn't post then cheerio.

Okay, no mods on board, so I'm going to lock this thread and let it die.
It's only going to end in tears if I leave it open and I don't see the point in inviting people to bash out on old subject.
Please don't bring up the subject again as it always seems to lead to arguments, which is the last thing we want on the forum.
As Henrik says, if you wish to encourage Nemesis to return, then please contact him privately via email or pm.
cheers,
snoops
