He either has a hand as good as yours or he is bluffing imo, so i would lay it down against an unknown.

Btw, the pot is 200 on the flop and there are only 3000 chips in play. Why don't you bet there?

To disguise my hand, and in the hope that he catches a high card on the turn to pair his??, giving him 2 pair but me trips.

Do you think he believes you if you bet out on the flop here? I wouldn't expect him to and i would expect a bluff raise a lot of the time.

I agree. I'd bet the flop. For some reason people never believe you leading out with the 4. he is more likely to take you for an 8 if you lead out here.

I would have thought he would have had a pop at the flop with a flush draw.  However, calling these river raises when you've bet the turn and river is usually a loser.  So I'm sighing and folding if my opponent is at all competent.
