Does your Palm include Bluetooth? If so you'll need a Bluetooth GPS receiver and some routing software. If not, you'll need a wired receiver to connect to the Palm.
Pukka route: TomTom do the UK software + receiver for £137 or the software only for £69. You can slightly undercut these prices by buying from reputable dealers on eBay.
Not so pukka route: As Nemesis says, buy a receiver from eBay. Make sure it has a Sirf III chipset - older ones need a clear view of the sky to lock on to the satellites whereas my Sirf III-capable Globalsat BT-338 locks on when it's in the glovebox. I managed to get mine for £35, lots available around £50-£60. Then download the TT software from your favourite file-sharing resource and away you go. TT5 with the GB map takes up about 140Mb of my SD card.
Check out the forums at
www.pocketgpsworld.com for much more info, although they don't like questions about hookey software....
Now, what we really need is a POI file of UK card rooms
