ok that isnt working copy and paste lol
Got down to the club tonight to have a quick look around.
It looks great. Really bright and airy. Mega high ceiling.
They were very welcoming. Offered me a glass of champagne on arrival
It was pretty busy for opening weekend. Maybe three quarters of the tables were full.
There are tournaments each night starting at 9pm:
Monday 10
Tuesday 20
Wednesday 20
Thursday 5
Friday 20
Saturday 10
Sunday 20
There was a waiting list for a pot limit Omaha cash game. I spoke to a few of the guys and they said they will be running freezouts and more tournaments later. Basically whatever the punters want. Dealers choice cash game too.
Also if people want to come in and hire a table for a private game that can be done. He was a bit vague on costs. I think it's probably a case of getting along, and seeing whats on offer.

Is Thursday a good night for newbies? Never played live before but quite fancy having a go.

Thursdays your best night to play if your new as its a 15gbp single rebuy or top up so you know your budget before you start. There will be a few blondites in as well so you shouldnt feel intimidated.

Graeme,
Thursday should be a better shot for beginners than most.
It's a £15 No Limit Game restricted to 1 rebuy (so maximum outlay of £30). Starts 8:30.
This means you don't get the bingo night effect of the £5 unlimitted rebuys.
Other nights starting up which should be good for those newer to live play:
Monday £10 3 rebuys NL Holdem. Start 8:30.
There are plans being put together for a 'Student Saturday' - 6:30 start, low cost freezeout to give live playing experience but be finished in time to go clubbing.
Other games (all 9:30 start)
Tuesday £20 Rebuy
Wednesday £10 Rebuy
Friday £20 Rebuy
Sunday £20 Rebuy.
Hope to see you tomorrow night.
