Afternoon all,
Right, the latest article Im researching for is about prop bets.
Anyone who hasnt already, should definatley read the Amarillo Slim biography, because it is one of the funniest books ever written about gambling. Slim beats a tennis pro at table tennis using coke bottles and frying pans as paddles, he outruns seabiscuit and all sorts of other bizarre high stakes wagers.
Whats the craziest prop bet you have ever heard of? (we all know about that guy with the fake breasts, so not that one). It doesnt matter if its truth of myth at the moment.
cheers
Barry

My favourite from the Slim book is the one involving the cat. Worth reading for this story alone!

I've never read slims biography so dunno if its in there but my favourite prop bet was slim betting someone that he could hit a normal golf ball with a normal golf club for over a mile. When the bet was accepted he drove to a huge frozen lake where he hit the ball and it slid across the ice for the length of the lake, over a mile, ship it.

The best one was were TightPaul put £10 down against any of the above starting a blonde general poker thread about how they have opted for gender reassignment, will it affect their poker. Cash waiting. I know you crazy gamblers...
