My nap is to lay Well Chief at 7/4 for the Champion Chase.

He couldn't have been more impressive on Saturday, but he didn't actually beat much. Voy Por Ustesdes fell and Ashley Brook might well have bounced.

Well Chief might bounce too. He was a very good horse, but he will have to be back to his best to win the Champion and at 7/4 is certainly worth laying.

I've already laid off Kauto, Denman and Detroit City.

I don't back ussually anything antepost (though did have a little bet on an overpriced Hardy Eustace after he was beaten by Detroit City). I will be having some fun the week before Cheltenham though as the pitcure should be clear.

Safe bet; Ruby Walsh to be top jockey and Paul Nicholls to be top trainer

To be the man, you've got to beat the man

I will be laying Kauto (won't complete) & Detroit City (a 5yo will not win the Champion Hurdle).  Willie Mullins has a bumper horse lined up by the name of Mad Fish.  His record speaks for itself and it should go close.
