RichD,  I remember exactly who you are.  I got busted by the guy on your left shortly after you moved tables.
Congrats on your 5th place.

I would like to give a big thankyou to all the guys from Blonde who gave me loads of support and advice over the 2 days at Cardiff.

I may be an old geezer at 43 years but so far only played live at Newcastle and Cardiff and only been on blonde for a couple of weeks.

Above all some great new friendships were formed and it was great to talk to like minded people rather than boring my mates down the pub with stories of internet poker that bore the pants off them!!!!!

Was stunned to make the final table and felt 8th was a real achievment though more down to chip conservation than any great play!!

Left before the end so no idea who won but Lee Mulligan was looking good with over 3 quarter of a million chips.

Survived 4 show downs with him as the low stack before he finally got his chips back from me so he was looking good when i left with 6 players still in.

For me the highlight was towards end of first day 38 left in 15000 chips blinds at 3000 6000.  Couldnt book any accommodation had no intention of driving back home and coming back for second day if had so few chips.  Pushed all in with    , Lee called with A K off, K on flop along with 2 hearts and got my flush on the river.   Quick double up again with 5 minutes left on the clock for end of first day and the 4 hour return trip for the second day didnt feel so bad!!!!

Again thanks to all and see you at the tables,

Great to meet you, and from what I saw, you fully deserved to get to the final table.  thumbs up

Just to say thanks to all the blondes over the weekend.I wont go into my performance in the event it's self as i pressed the self destruct button. The side games on both days were very entertaining, with eyeofsauron keeping us amused with his unusual plays ?.A special thanks to kev who plays on apat as Zukertort for being kind enough to drive me back to my hotel on friday and sat, other wise i dont know where i would have ended up.

A successful weekend for you overall though with those STTs!!

Good to see you, and was wondering if you'd sobered up yet....

For anybody who was sceptical when I said that I was going to win back my STT loss on the blackjack table - I made a £27.50 profit at Grosvenor, and a £62 profit at Les Croupiers casino - so nearly the APAT cost as well as the STT cost Cheesy

Another great tourney from APAT, hopefully I'll get a satellite entry into another one this year but I'll definitely be back for more next season.

Can't type anymore - too tired.

Was a good APAT event.  A friend of mine finished 4th!  Mr Luckbox (guy who came 2nd at the broadway) Pushed all in on the SB and my mate Dan called.  Lucky box showed A9 and Dan showed AJ.  2 on the flop and its all over rover!!

They did a chip count and he just covered my mate so was a little sick!!!

I did nothing all tourney and busted out just after Mr Phillips.  Did not mind as my £450+ profit on the cash tables paid for my weekend Smiley

Hi Micky!

Glad you got back safely. How did you get on in that last STT we played? I only played 3 hands ( I played 77 when I was in front though!), then said my goodbyes to everyone, as I was getting exhausted. Made a wrong turn on the journey back home the next day, and ended up going through the heart of Wales instead of getting to the motorway. Thought I was going to get into serious trouble with the car as the wheel bearings were making one hell of a noise. Finally made it back home though.

Going to do a proper write up soon, but it's going to be spilt into two halves. That first night was an absolute cracker. That was the funniest, most entertaining live game I've ever played. See you guys up in Scotland for the next APAT event.

Both played terrific. Graham in particular, changed gear halfway through the final & went for the win, but eventully the winner rumbled him & called his RR. Graham had 5-3 off.....Misreads, eh?
