Birmingham nightlife pretty much sucks ass. Can't compete with London on that front IMHO. Can't speak about the lapdancing scene (not my flavour).

If you're after a bit of company for the night then try the Brasshouse on Broad Street. This was a top pub in the 80's / earlies 90's and the people who went in there then still frequent the place.

Full of lates 30's/early 40's divorced /bored housewives !
