I think long term bad players are profitable for the better players.

I have a few gripes about the whole thing though in particular the structure, and also that silly hot-o-meter.

I am also out as I type versus - UTG the gun min re-raised my BB and I pushed and he still found a call!  Arrrrghhhhhh!

they could try a two or three night tourny with slower structures, bigger buy in and larger starting stacks to run alongside the open, and then just dip into it like velocity. Just a thought, might get better poker. they would have three lanes then, and be able to contrast the play.

I will forward your suggestion to the powers-that-be, but running Online Comps which last over three nights is fraught with software complications. Still, you never know.

Im not overly technical but if you can have a ten minute break can't you have a twenty four hour break, i think 8 seaters would be better if they did do it, and say a £50 or a £100 buy in, (on a hundred runners 1st would be around £3k), once a week, you could start on mondays and do it for as many nights as it took. You might get more action on the site if what is percieved as a more "serious" comp is on, and more viewers - bigger action -  bigger interest.

On the whole I think sky poker is a great concept, but it might become a bit "samey" this idea could mix it up a bit, you could also run entry sats (more rake). You could run a monster every year as well. (more rake)

PS You could also have special tables without the hot- o -meter LOL (you can turn it off chaps)

PPS if they do it how about first buy in as consultantcy fee

i think the reason they hace it 6 seated is due to allowing people the abilty to play on tv rahter than through pc

the 2 day comp is good idea i know of sites that already do these

could even have one night where you watch the last 3 tables or so with a structure to fit into the show

ie first night play with no tv action 2nd night 27 players return with deep stacks ect ect and we watch proper poker for the whole show

I'm afraid 8 seater tables are not possible, for technical reasons, on the Sky Poker televised Tourneys.

They have their first "biggie" this week - a £50 entry £25,000 Guaranteed Tourney on Friday night, ("Primo") & more will follow.

As to more action on the site, it's become very busy already, & that's just with the "soft" launch. They are not on a network, it was a "from cold" start up in January.

Hope you get the Consultancy Fee though fella!

I have put this forward to Sky for consideration recently, & it's under consideration, but the Software needs some tweaking first to enable it.

But really, what they seek, is as many players as possible, every night, interacting, that's pretty much the idea of the Show.

Keep the ideas coming, the Sky Suits read them all.

Good idea.  Would allow more insightful comments on the way the hands are being played from the experts (and Tikay).

BE AFRAID. I'm doing the show 3 times next week, (tomorrow, Wednesday & Friday) so get your name down so I can "analyse" your play.....
