hey guys

you may remember me from the questionnaire that i asked people to fill out a few weeks ago for my dissertation.

i was just wondering now what peoples views are on the poker points systems that different sites promote??
does anyone play for particular points knowingly in order to gain special promotions and benefits?? i notice Party offer a blue, silver or gold membership depending on how many points you gain in 3 months, with gold members getting the best benefits.
wot about other sites?
how good are they?

I have to say that the notion of loyalty points are just frankly irritating. They ae worthless, unless you play every hour of every day and even then whats the reward - a labelled basketball jersey or an entry into an MTT.  For me its a watse of time, the schemes are to engender loyalty but most players are anything but, playing on upward of 3/4 sites with regularity.

The only true reward scheme is rakeback, which as any grinder knows can be make all the difference over the course of a sustained period of play.
