Sorry Rod - I wasn't implying you.

Last time I posted something for free (O2 SIMS), I received negative posts about that too.

Some of this lot just aren't satisfied!

The problem with a using small/unknown email providers is:

a) You don't know who is running it and what safeguards there are for your privacy.

b) That they can either decide to start charging at any time or just close down altogether.  I have had accounts with at least two such providers who closed down their service with just days notice.

At least with Gmail you assume your privacy is safe and they are likley to stick around for a while at least.
