Poker in Germany

Well, my posting order is finally sitting in my intray!
For the first time ever the Army has actually decided to send me somewhere that I asked to go AND not to somewhere that I asked NOT to go to!!!!
Shame I didn't get my first 2 choices (Canada and Gibraltar), but Germany will do. Anything to get out of this rotten country to be frank!
But I digress...
Now one of the downers of this posting is that I'm pretty much aware that poker is only just emerging in Germany (reliably told that it is Stars biggest growing market at the moment). But it doesn't seem to have much of a live scene.
Where are all the tourneys held???
I've played at Hohensyburg :-) but am not aware of anywhere else. Does anyone know otherwise - or will I have to drive into Holland?
Oh yeah...I will be living in Bielefeld, wich is kinda just NW of the centre...if that makes sense???

We have soldiers in Canada?
I hope they're preparing for the invasion of Quebec.

I think germany is the biggest area of expansion for the online sites at the moment, so if you can find a live game there should be lots of fish. There certainly is lots of German fish on party at the moment. If u find a good place with lots of fish be sure to let us know, I need a weekend away

I 'm a mediocre poker player at best. I usually play the $13 6 handed Sng's on Stars.
I drool at the site of a table full of Germans. If you play weekend mornings and afternoons you'll see plenty
of them.

Pokerstars have gone into Germany hard, and that will only increase in coming months as they play off the back of Katja Thater winning a WSOP bracelet.
