After much discussion recently concerning rulings here there and everywhere, and the uprising in "player Councils". I feel its time that some form of "Cardroom Think Tank" was implemented somehow.

Currently there are several companies/casinos operating poker nights of various levels and to varied sets of rules, and very rarely do supervisors from different groups etc get to compare decisions etc, so maybe something like this could help everyone. The Cardroom Supervisor position is pretty much a dying breed these days with so many people moving around etc and looking around there are very few "established" supervisors around in the UK now for various reasons, so lets do something about it.

The idea first came up afew months ago and now is the time to act, if anyone here has any ideas of how to go about this please get in touch and lets begin to make a difference.

Heres my proposition....

A regular meeting of supervisors from all over the UK/Europe if need be. gathered at a pre-arranged venue (which could rotate in the name of fairness) to discuss relevent topics at the time (ie upcoming comps, recent rulings etc) or just to bounce opinions of each other and get a look at how things are done elsewhere. I know the bigger companies already have their own such meetings, but i feel one open to anyone would be a much more positive step for all concerned.
There will be no delegates from each venue, anyone involved will be able to attend, wether they be Management, dealer or even Tea girl, as everybody has an opinion and it may amaze some people where the best ideas come from.

It is my opinion that this would benefit the game in so many ways, schedules could be arranged amicably across the UK well in advance, more structure could be put towards the rules across the board and its always good to  have another point of view on a situation isnt it?

I know there is supposed to be some competition between venues and maybe some hositlity between supervisors but lets put all that behind us and try to improve the game we all seem to love, and make decisions for the important people in the game - The Players.

Fancy doing all that spamming then phoning in sick LOL, you in tonight?

Regarding topic, I am up for it any time, but I don't think a certain groups hierarchy want this to happen.

Glad this is being so well recieved by all.

I implore all you players to get on the case to your local supervisor to somehow get involved, this is a very good chance for all the forgotten men (and apparently women lol) to make a substantial difference in OUR game
