at first i thought the cards were a good idea but now they pop up where there not meant to be and some cards dont apear in some hand historys the ace of diamonds also never apears for me i was going to ask if they could be disabled but i know alot of people like them
then i remembered that i can disable them on my own profile as can all of you

if anyone else doesnt like the smileys and doesnt know how to turn them off let me know and you can join the old fuddy duddy club with me

could you not just wrap the text needed to  produce a card in : so they won't be posted by mistake?

in most of the bbcode which you can add to your posts to make words bold or italics and so on you have to type the code for that style surrounded by square brackets. For example the above line was

Code:

... make words [b]bold[/b] or [i]italics[/i] and so ...

it would be REALLY useful if the cards had similar brackets around them so people stopped typing them by accident when they match normal words. So something like:

Code:

 [ah] for ace of hearts, instead of just ah
[tsp] for ten of spades, instead of just tsp
[jc] for ten of spades, instead of just jc
etc...

yep but then hand historys would be all text rather than half text half pics

i think i am the only one that is bothered with this if i am not we can sort it

But hand histories don't work properly either: only some cards are changed, which can be confusing.

If you turn em off, does it stop you seeing em when you are writing a post? Might saveme from getting heat from my fascist boss at work

With regard to the misposting, can you not set it so that you have to select them from the top of the post you are writing, or as Jammer said, put some wraparound code in?

you do know you can enable the quick reply from profile this stops you needing to hit reply? and therefore you dont see the smileys

While I am potentially allowed to play on the net loads and should be looking at other forums (competitor analysis you know!), I don't want to get in lumber too much

The point was to use a hand histories to post converter (such as the one used for 2+2 and somethingawful) which I linked some time ago.

You cut n paste your history into the generator and it spits out a nicely formatted output, smileys formatted for free.
