60,000 turned up for the game against Newcastle - how cool is that!  Last year we put our second 11 in the Carling Cup all the way through, this year, they are the first 11 so we field another 11 for the Cup this year and we beat a full strength Newcastle 2-0 and 60,000 people turned up.

Making the tickets 10 quid and getting a full house is definately the way to go, even if it does generate less income. The Arsenal second 11 (which isn't exactly a brand new team from nowhere is it? looked prety similar to the finalists last year - with the addition of the loan signings that returned, I thought)

Don't get me wrong - that Arsenal team has more ability than Newcastle's - but it wasnt a full strength Newcastle team and we had only played 48 hours earlier and travelled the country. Wink

the difference is that our 11 are recognisable because of last years campaign - not one player on show would get in our strongest starting line up.  The fact is they now have the experience of last years campaign
