Has anyone learnt anything from anyone over the weekends BB?

I've learnt that Chilli has a thing about shitting herself when she goes out drinking in Scotland. Huh?Huh?Huh??

Yes, it was a fairly disturbing revelation from Chili at the table...

Has anyone learnt anything from anyone over the weekends BB?

yes i learnt how to play bournemouth roll from pokerwoody!!

Has anyone changed their opinion about anyone over the weekend?

yeah i thought everyone from blonde were cool, but after reading thsi thread and hearing a few comments from others a few people have dissapointed me that they feel the need to discuss wether or not mango99 is cool or a twat on a forum where the aformentioned is a member??? surely this iant the place to do it!!!.and my two pence worth is anybody that feels they must pass comment on another person in such a public way must be hiding there own insecurities!!!.if anybody feels either offended or unhappy with his behavior or his attitude then privatley would be the way to go in regards to discussing this!!!.i for one think mango99 is not only a great laugh, a good entertainer but also a kind and genuine bloke!!!

Has this weekend made you change the way you play certain hands?

dont use the word "*****" whilst playing a hand

yeah if im in a heads up game with someone for a pint!!!....and i win, and say "get to the bar you C**T!!...i now know that tikay will take it upon himself (for reasons unknown) to accuse me of offending lots of peopel and give me a jolly good telling off, because of course some people have never heard this word used in public beofre!!! (sigh)....for those people my suggestion would be to get to bed b4 9pm because they sometimes use that word on tv programs too!!! (crazy)

And then when you grow up you might realise that some people dont want their wives and girlfriends subjected to that sort of language in an environment such as a blonde bash.

i DO undertsand that the word can cause offence!!!...i dont understand why whoever heard it didnt say they were offended, yet the person who used the word was accused of causing offence and of course it very much depends on teh context the word was used in!!!...i heard the word used loads and loads of times over the course of the day for example.....BUT only one person gets accused of causing offence!!!???..strange that

Yes, I agree with this. And apologised at the time - I was out of order. I was absolutely plastered and thought it would be a 'funny' rubdown. No malice meant at all, and I know that Kinboshi (who the comment was directed towards) is aware of this... In retrospect it obviously wasn't a funny thing to say though, and for that I apologise for any offence caused.

Matt apologised at the time and the matter was put to bed there and then, Im sure he is grateful that you felt the need to act as his spokesman and open the event up to a much wider audience than the handfull of people that actually knew about it.

Perhaps if you were to host a party or get together of poker players and their partners, and the same situation occurred, I would like to think you would have the social skills to pull the person to one side and have a quiet word in your capacity as host....

Has anyone learnt anything from anyone over the weekends BB?

I like to think that I learn from all lifes experiences, probably most valuable lesson learnt is that Jen loves to bluff in omaha- even when I have flopped quads on a kk5( no draw!). Also reminded me that poker has the ability to bring people of all backgrounds together, especially when directed by top folks such as tikay, robert etc (and all the other mods of course)

I liked everyone I met, both those i had met before and those I hadnt, got to put faces to names which was great- I hope I didnt offend too many... I was told that " i was probably the most abusive dealer (in a sng) that the players had encountered" I think they knew it was all in jest!!??   I suppose that is why I realise that certain others who overstep the mark dont do it with the intention to offend and are normally well meaning. nuff said on that subject i think.

Has this weekend made you change the way you play certain hands?

playing drunk, and against drunks ( if the cap fits ... etc etc) is probably not the best time or place to be learning meaningful poker lessons- although I will refer the honourable folk to me previous  answer regarding jens omaha habits......

Allin all The bash reminded me how lucky I am to play this great game, and even more be a part of this "familly"... Thankyou..

One final thought.

With a gathering of so many people from different backgrounds there WILL ALWAYS be people who do not get on - Simple.

As long as the ones who do not get on, dont spoil it for others, I do not see a problem.
