well what a lenient lot most of you are I'm with boldie but as she isn't mine and i cant impress that on her although I'd love to
I might be overstepping the mark here..and apologize if I do, but you said you were the "step father"..that gives you all the rights there, my friend. They are your girls too.
apparently not according to the mrs........
Hmmmmmm as a step father to 2 girls myself i agree with boldie, i am involved in all aspects of their life, wether it be praise or punish, good or bad, same as any parent.
But, somewhere in the back of your mind, are you not wary of the day one of them gives you the "YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO - YOU'RE NOT MY REAL DAD!" speech.
Believe me i know it's coming, eldest has just started Secondary school so rebellion may not be far away but again that is just another part of parenting is it not.
I was an unplanned child and i remember saying to my parents "you never wanted me", it wasn't meant by me, just said in spite because of hormones.
Biological father or step father the same applies kids will always find a way to "dig the knife in and twist it" metaphorically speaking only, i hope.
