Well, nightmare ive had!!
Stuck on M11 on the way to Stanstead (thought i was going to miss my 5.10 flight) but managed to get there at 3.30ish
Checked in, and went to the gate.
Then came the announcement that my flight had a technical problem and was delayed until approx 8pm!!!
If that wasnt bad enough, it didnt actually leave Stanstead till just after 10pm!!!!!!!!!!!
Then on arrival at my hotel, I am being told that I have to go to another Hotel (WITHOUT WIFI).
That was the last straw, needless to say I kicked up such a fuss that they put me in a double room for that night and said they would transfer me in the morning.
Just been downstairs and said it is unfair to move me as I have unpacked and wouldnt be in all day - they agreed!!
So alls well that ends well, I now have an upgraded room for the whole stay free of charge
I did manage a quick hour visit to The Merrion last night and saw Malc, Elblonde and Peter Costa - no poker though (saving that for today)
