Admittedly I did basically concede the match by resting my first team to save PFL as it was a match I was never going to win.

Making a fight of it though - it will be close, it always is.

Admittedly, I did rest some of my first XI as I was always confident against a newly promoted side. Wasn't expecting it to be that quick though!

Interesting game I had today

Playing away to a BOT with some frankly awesome players

50k opening bat, 60k no 3 and a 60k spinner, on a dusty pitch ( I have basically 1 spinner)

they batted 1st, scored 281-4, with the opener getting 60 odd and the no 3 119 quicker than run a ball. Decided to play an extra allrounder with slightly worse bowling to give my side a batting boost and he went 0-82. The other allrounder  went 0-26!!

In reply, lost a couple of early wickets, and the awesome spinner took 1-23. However the extra allrounder scored 98 no, my no 3 scored 90 and my new bat ( resp/comp) scored 53 from 43 to win the game by 7 wickets!!

Somehow, I'm now 2nd!

New bowler took a 4 for. now 2nd in my league with a net run rate of 4.5
