Another good result for Mr Lawler , 3rd in the £500 f/o at the Vic, good for £7,000+. Well done that man, expect to see him take down a major event very soon.

 An interesting situation arose at the bubble.

 They are down to 11 players and 10 get paid, 10th being £1,000 so it's hand for hand. One table has been quite a lot slower then the other and some players are getting impatient. Adam has limped and is now facing an all in from a player with a very similar stack size. This is basically a decision for all his chips. He asks for a count, then studies the player for about 120-150 seconds.  At this point one of the players from the other table asks for  a clock. He is told by the tournament director, only players at the table may ask for a clock. Another 60 secs go by and now the same player goes to the table and says:

"One of you should put  a clock on him , this is out of order"

 All this is going on while a player is trying to make a decision for his tournament life. Besides the etiquette side of things , should there be a penalty for this? He was taken aside and given a talking to, but should he have been made to sit out for a round ? Or a similar punishment.

It's rude..but then again..studying a player for 2 minutes?..If you can't make up your mind within 30 seconds it's a fold.

why was the one table a lot slower than the other, were they just taking longer in their decision making or were they looking over to the other table and taking the piss.

A lot of the very best players take a long time to make this type of descision, i believe they pick up some telling information by taking their time. Personally i tend to rush a little when making these decisions, often i regret not composing myself and taking a bit longer to think things through when faced with this situation.

I rarely ask for a clock to be called on any player, as for doing it when not even at the same table, thats just not acceptable, ever!
