I received this in my inbox today, which you may, or may not, find of interest. Warren Lush manages to include the words "PartyPoker" 9 times I think, though I've edited ouit the ".com" for practical purposes. He's good, but I'd give him a run for his money when I get my Sky Poker hat on I fancy. Even ifm would not argue with that.
COUNTDOWN IS ON TO PARTYPOKER MILLION VI!
HISTORY MAKING POKER CRUISE SETS SAIL FROM VENICE ON SATURDAY!
Gibraltar – 29th April 2008 – The PartyPoker Million VI gets underway on Saturday and sets sail from Venice for a week of action.
The eight day PartyPoker Million VI takes place from the 3rd – 10th May 2008 and will sail from Venice calling at ports around the Mediterranean before returning to Venice .
30 countries will be represented in the main event and amongst those fancied to make an impact include Canada’s history-making Mike ‘Timex’ McDonald, Sweden’s 2008 Late Night Poker winner Andreas Jorbeck, Brazil’s Christian Kruel, Danish sensation Soeren Kongsgaard, Germany’s Florian Langmann and Alexander Jung and Finland’s Mika Paasonen. The line-up is a united nations of next generation poker talent.
The ship, the MSC Poesia, is a state of the art cruise liner packed with facilities and the cabins are now full. On board there will be restaurants, bars, tennis courts, mini golf, pools, spas, discos, a cinema, shopping and more…and not forgetting a massive 24/7 card room.
With the shift to a European route the tournament is now no limit rather than limit but the look and feel of the cruise is the same. Many of the old faces will be back. Mike Sexton will be host and MC, Matt Savage and Dave Lamb are tournament directors and the highly respected Card Player Cruises team that includes Linda Johnson, Mark Tenner and Jan Fisher will be onboard running the poker room.
A PartyPoker spokesman said: “The excitement is building ahead of the first ever PartyPoker Million to be held in Europe . We estimate a total prize pool of over $1.3 million.”
Online qualifiers won a PartyPoker Million VI package worth $12,000, comprising $8,200 buy-in for the no limit texas hold’em main event, $2,700 for the accommodation and the cruise and $1,100 spending money.
Previous winners of the PartyPoker Million include Kathy Liebert, Howard Lederer, Erick Lindgren, Michael Gracz and Mike Schneider. The first PartyPoker Million was a huge breakthrough for poker being the first hold’em tournament to offer a $1,000,000 first prize, the first tournament to combine direct buy-ins with online qualifiers and the first to hold its finals on a cruise liner. The result was momentous too, with Kathy Liebert’s victory marking the first major tournament win by a woman.

Agree. I think they computer-generate this spiel.
One day someone will work out that you can spam a little better than that.
"The MSC Poesia, a right rust-bucket if truth be told, is a bit of a tramp-steamer, & there's bugger all to do, the cardroom is cramped, the food is atriocious, but hey, we'll have some fun". I'm really not sure that saying it's a nice boat adds much to the party. Does everyone really swallow all that tosh?
I applied for a job in Marketing & PR, & never got a reply. Odd that. I always think in such situations "no reply" is much the same as "you must be joking, you tosser".
Fair play to Mr Lush, he's enthusiastic, & persistent, & that's his job, & he does it well, by industry standards. I'd have to try a little originality though, I just would.

One of the things the company I work for does is email broadcasts on behalf of clients.
We generally just deal with the technical side rather than the creative - but some of the efforts they come up with scream "SPAM" so loudly that we just have to tell them that some sort of amendment might be appropriate (so that people might actually read them rather than having their junk filters delete them). In the best spirit of British business they tend to just ignore this free advice.
So when you see an email and think, "surely they could do better than this", they probably
could
do better - but the person who created it to start with is probably just too stubborn to admit that their work is anything less than perfect.

lazy to put any effort into doing something in a different way from how they've done it before.

No American qualifiers any more - therefore no tourney players who know what limit poker is.
