Not sure if they are called micro pcs but i want to buy one of those eepc type things.
I know there has been a thread before about these but there is a lot on the market now.
I want one with windows not linux and its just for email, surfing, skype etc.

Dell have just launched one and thats the one im thinking of going for at the moment.

If you wait about a month or so then you can get a Dell Netbook free from Vodaphone as part of a 3G Broadband package.

Would only work out cheaper if you were planning on getting mobile broadband anyway though.

Otherwise from PC World the Advent 4211 is essentially an MSI Wind but branded as Advent and about £50 cheaper.

I don't really know much about the micro laptops, just seems to me that if you're going to pay £300+ you may as well buy a full size one.

Although I guess you're right about windows - your daughter is bound to want to run some windows only stuff.

Grier's right about the advent being a rebadged wind, so that could be a good option for you.
