Giving CSFBL.com a go. Very much a GM/manager game.
The thing about baseball is it is a 160 game season, so it's four games a day!
Enjoying it so far. Potential to set up a Blonde league if we get 24 players, as they run private leagues.
Training isvsry simple but the draft adds an extra element. Worth a go I'd say - and it is free of course.

4 games a day... if it's addictive that could wreck your life!

Because you have a rotation of four (or 5) starting pitchers, once you've got a team up and running and are happy with your roster and line ups, it's not that bad.
Besides, there is a two game a day option but that makes each season Battrick-esque! At 4 games a day plus playoffs and offseason it's about two months a season. So you can think short term, medium term and long term. Training only really happens at the start of every season, so it's a bit different but the line ups element gives a lot of scope for tactics. And I like getting the latest result every sickx hours!
If you know a little about baseball, have a go, I am really enjoying it.

EDIT: There are three teams available in Alpha Chi Eta (where I have a team) as the owners got thrown out for cheating - so at least one of them is probably very good!

EEK! I've made the world series in the first season and my team isn't much cop, so it's not a difficult league. If a few of you take on the open teams we'll be well on our way to a private league. It's a 2-games a day league, so the pace isn't too quick. Save the Briggites!!!

NOTICE: The league "Alpha Phi Upsilon" may shut down! Your team, "Canyon Lake Briggites", is in this league, and if other potential owners don't pick up some of the available teams in this league, the league may be shut down!

To maintain competitiveness and a high level of activity within CSFBL, if a league has less than 16 user-owned teams at the end of a season, it will be disbanded. When leagues are disbanded, ALL HISTORY OF THE LEAGUE is purged - seasons, games, and stats. Only players on the current team rosters are preserved; all retired players and free agents are purged. The human-owned teams (i.e. your team) in this league will be changed back to PENDING status, so you can join the team to a new league. (It is as if the team was just newly created.) To encourage people to join this league (and get its ownership up), post some messages in the "League Announcements" forum (http://forums.csfbl.com). To see what teams are available in your league, go to the league page for this league (http://www.csfbl.com/leagues.asp?leagueid=1099). Potential owners can take ownership of a team right from the league page.
