I have been dying to play an APAT game ever since it first started but for various reasons havent been able to.
Made up my mind that I was DEFINITLY going to do this one. I have wanted to visit the Vic for a long time and this is the perfect opportunity with it being mid school holidays making babysitting that bit easier.
Emails fly between mates and 4 of us Bristol lasses decide we will play, thats me, Robyn, Noe and Alex (all of us were at DTD blonde bash).
Fingers were at the ready at 9pm when the clickfest started. First attempt FAIL, second attempt..there is already a transaction in progress. Good.. it must have went through. Third attempt to make sure...previous transaction has been cancelled ARGHHH. Tried another 5 or 6 times before I get..too many transactions have occured on this account and it is being reported to the fraud control, please do not attempt to try again ARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHH
Meanwhile Noe has secured a seat first time but Robyn is having the same problem. She has tried 3 different cards and all have failed so she is texting me non stop while im trying to sort mine out AND it just so happened that the Trillion forum game is in play and im still in...did I mention I cant do multitasking?
I am posting on blonde and APAT begging for help and folding hands in the trillion game that you would not believe.
Robyn meanwhile has got in touch with Noe and she has bought her in.
Alex has been out for the night but manages to buy a seat when she gets back.
My knight in shining armour has bought me in..phew!!!
Robyn then gets in touch saying Noe has checked her calander and has something booked that weekend so cant play and do I want her seat.
I say no im already booked in.
Noe changes her plans so she can play after all.
Alex I dont think got the seat she thought she had (not spoke to her but shes not on the list)
Then the biggest clanger of all...I realise that my caravan holiday with my sister and 6 kids on the sunny south coast does not start on the 16th August but the 23rd meaning 30th is checkout/going home day AAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH
A chat with my sister and she is happy to drop me off at the local train station and travel back with the kids on her own, not ideal but hell its poker and sacrifices need to be made :-) I will arrive in Waterloo at 13.50 and cross fingers for no delays and a speedy taxi journey.
Meanwhile this weekend my sisters people carrier has packed up/kaput/died and gone to heaven. So we need a new one and FAST.
Spotted a little beauty on ebay and today/yesterday she went up to Leicester to pick it up. She arrived at 3pm with 2 of her kids and was delighted with the car. There was an initial problem when the petrol lock wouldnt open but she eventually set off around 5pm. 15mins later she noticed there was a problem and the car was overheating. She phoned the guy and he came out. She has now borrowed his car till he can get it fixed. She had borrowed her friends sat nav and punched in "home" for directions. When the sat nav said 14 mins to destination and she was approaching Watford she guessed that something was up.
Poor cow got home at 1am
Meanwhile..did I mention I won a seat in the mini league
