Quick question while waiting for broadband to be set up in a new home. What is the cheapest and most instant method to get on-line while waiting....?

Bongo's given you cheapest.

Quickest will be to go to your nearest 3 mobile phone shop and ask for a PAYG dongle.

I've got a Vodafone one of those - no you don't have to be an existing customer.

Be careful with PAYG, they charge about £2 per MB.

Just ordered 5mb dongle from 3 ... half price offer, £7.50 a month  (18 month contract) .. no outlay for the dongle.

Is that 5MB then PAYG after. Or should it be 5GB?

If it's 5GB then I'm signing up as well. That's a bargain.

5GB for £15, so half price would be £7.50...

Be careful with PAYG, they charge about £2 per MB.

3 PAYG charge £10 for 1GB, £15 for 3GB or £25 for 7GB as long as you convert your top-up to their Internet add-on first*, otherwise the charge is £1/MB.
