I'm still an appointed person for lifting operations, hope you did a lifting plan mate

Our Crane driver has a remote control and stands on the ground to supervise all lifts.

Ultimately the crane driver is in control.

We hired our driver on a weekly basis from a crane hire firm

Have you got all his details

Good luck , but it does look v nasty

all lifting operations are by the main contractor so it is there responsibilty as I see it but tomorrow we will be a bit more clearer as to whose at fault, but on reflection i think it could be down to the signaller who was directing the lift.the crane driver was working totally blind as the lifting and drop off positions are well out of his sight.

Remote control cranes are much safer.

I have just spoken to the main contractor and asked how the injured Lady was doing,I was told they dont know and have been advised by their lawyers not to contact her or send any cards or flowers to her as it could be seen as trying to influence the claim...

I asked if all the contractors on site could do something and was told they rather we didnt.

wtf is it coming to?
