This will be the first year I buy my son anything. He is 6.
I have gotten away with it lightly as grandparent and aunts and uncles etc. have always spoilt him. I used to wait a day or two and ask him his favourite toy, then say that's what i had gotten him. Semi cruel I know, but a damn sight easier.
This year I think a Gameboy Advance will be purchased so he can sit quietly in the corner with it. NOT!!!!!
ALso whenever he hears an Ice Cream Van playing it's little jingle, he turns to me smiles and says the Ice Cream van has run out of ice cream hasn't it. To which I reply yes son that's right. Maybe next time he won't have. Ah the lies we tell.

I want A PONY (with picture of something resembling a Pony)

With her being only 6 years old, I suppose she's a bit young to understand just how funny it would be for you to give her a card with £25 in it on Christmas morning...

My 2 year old is happy with a my little pony (£3.98 from Asda with hair brush).
Thats all she wanted so we bought her it now. (And sneaked the My Litle Pony fairground set + additional pony into the trolley while she wasnt looking, and the pretty pony set too, asda cheap imotation version) And she wants a bike. About 60-70 quid in total.
The wifes bought her a few educational toys too. Things we want her to have (but will still be fun).

my 23 month old nephew (2 in the first week of january) want my car everytime he comes over to my house he runs up to me drags me by the hand to my car picking up the car keys on route and proceeds to unlock the car open door get in, get out, close door, lock car then unlock door etc etc for about 2 hours
his dad left him in the front seat of car when unloaded the shopping one day only for the terraway to take spare keys out of glove box put them in ignitaion and get fright of his life when the car actually started
i am certainly not going to ask him what he wants in 15 years times hel'll get what he is given

Quite right. You simply wrap up your current car, in its (then) current state 15 years hence, and say. Its 15 years too late son, but I always keep a promise, and present him with the keys to his (rather old) brand new car.
