LONDONERS GET THE CHANCE TO MEET POKER PRO AT BOOK LAUNCH

Broadcast Journalist and Poker professional, Victoria Coren, will be

launching her latest book, ‘For Richer, For Poorer’ on Thursday 10th

September at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London.

From 7pm, Victoria will be available to share her poker tips, as well as

sell copies of her latest book. The casino will also be hosting additional

Poker games with Victoria, in celebration of the launch.

A poker memoir, ‘For Richer, For Poorer’ tells Victoria’s story of how she

managed to climb to the top of her game from when poker was relatively

unknown, to high class tournaments in casinos around the world, earning her

lifetime winnings of $1.5 million

Victoria was the first woman ever to win an event on the European Poker

Tour in 2006, winning £500,000 as well as being the first player to win

both a televised professional tournament and a televised celebrity

tournament.

As a poker commentator, she has presented Late Night Poker and The Poker

Nations Cup for Channel 4, World Poker Tour for ITV2, The Grosvenor UK

Poker Tour (Channel 4) and The William Hill Poker Grand Prix 2 (Sky

Sports).

Martin Ramskill, General Manager at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London

said: “We are delighted to be hosting Victoria’s book launch, as she has

been playing poker at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino for years. This looks

to be a big event, so we would recommend getting here early so that you can

have the chance to meet Victoria and learn the secrets of the game.”

Attendance is free to anyone aged 18 years and over. Photographic ID will

be required for all customers.
