I think the game is about adapting to your table before it adapts to you. Everything else is just tools at your disposal. You have to learn how to use them, then it's pure psychology baby.

ABC poker still makes in single table tornaments, clinging on to your chips until bubble time when the blinds get big, not frittering them away seeing flops. That's still the best strategy for these IMHO.

The games are getting more loose aggressive of late, I'm finding this is only improving my ROI% from playing ABC. Less thinking means I can play more tables at once too.

yes

at the moment though, outside the top UK festival events, ie in smaller events at UK provincial casinos, I think the majority play tight aggressive and are readable for a modest range of hands in any given situation

it was realising this that led me to start "playing the opposite of the way your table is playing"

as I collected £2.5k on friday adopting this view, I would say the plan shows promise!!

LOL - saw Tightend at Luton last night and we both said we would be mixing it up a bit and playing low cards etc in the tourney - I tried to wave at him as I left having got nowhere near the money but he was already deep into the cash game...........

I'm playing the £200 at Luton on Monday and I'm completely confused about how I'm going to play it now - I'm hoping that if I have no idea how I'm playing it neither will anyone else when I'm there.......I'm adopting a 'confuse yourself and therefore confuse the enemy' approach.
