Reigning World Champion Peter Eastgate joins The Poker Show this week

The Poker Show continues to bring you the big names from Vegas as Jesse and Matt catch up with 2008 World Series of Poker main event winner Peter Eastgate, Steve Sung, and Greg Raymer

Dublin, Ireland: June 5, 2009 – Twenty-three-year-old Dane Peter Eastgate became the youngest winner of the WSOP main event last year and this week he’ll be talking to The Poker Show’s Jesse May about the pressure of defending his title, playing in the Premier League and beating Phil Hellmuth’s record.

Steve Sung created history of his own last week when he won the $1,000 no-limit hold’em event beating the most players ever to line-up in a non-main event field, and he’ll be on the phone, as will 2004 main event champion Greg Raymer.

The Poker Show’s man in the field over in the States is Padraig Parkinson and Jesse and Matt Broughton will be catching up on all the gossip with him, along with the regular mix of calls and competitions to win cash prizes with Boylepoker.

Last week’s shows have been archived in full at http://www.boylesports.com/sections/poker/d.asp?show=ThePokerShow_Archives and include Doyle Brunson, Roland de Wolfe’s poker impressions, and The Poker Show causing a storm with Daniel Negreanu and PokerStars.

Fans can grab the individual interviews at http://thepokershowlive.com/listenagain.htm and also check out the controversial interviews with Tom “Durrrr” Dwan and Luke “_FullFlush1_” Schwartz which are still proving wildly popular downloads.

Guests on the show so far read like a who’s who of poker with Doyle Brunson, Annette Obrestad, J.C. Tran, Marty Smyth, Neil Channing, Vicky Coren, Tom Hanlon, Maria Demetriou, Andrew Feldman, Dan Harrington, Roland De Wolfe, Phil Hellmuth, Mike Sexton, Phil Laak, Rory Liffey, Liam Flood, ‘Mad’ Marty Wilson, Kara Scott, Donnacha O’Dea, Barny Boatman, and John Duthie.

The all-new radio show sees the experienced broadcast team on air each Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights from 8pm to 11pm at www.thepokershowlive.com where they will discuss, debate, and decipher the technicolour world of live and online poker with a series of special guests, contributors, and phone-in questions and commentary from members of the poker playing public.

Poker players are actively encouraged to get involved in each show — if only to be in with a shot of winning some of the cash the show gives away each night. Players can call the show directly on 0208 123 7820, add ThePokerShow to Skype or, for MSN users: thepokershow@live.co.uk. The presenters can then chat to participants before or during the show, live on air.
