Another one survived.

Guess the Specials finaly showed those Madness boys how its done.
Prodigy (the jaws sample was sublime), Fucked Up and Quo were all real highlights.
Jamie T stole the show for me.

Oh and if he is "The Boss", well I am resigning tomorrow.

Are the Shrewdies home?  If not him I got a great look a like of Chip Rich, when I sort my photo's.

another 5 days survived, my most subdued glasto to date, must be geting old.

the boss = toss imo, wish i'd seen the prodigy but everyone went to blur which was good anyway. Pendulum are limited but a great party. Franz Ferdinand were quality for the bit i saw but stereo mcs were a highlight that night. Neil young was top draw and i've been waiting years to see him. Most fun was getting stoned with rasta's and doing some dodgy dancing to dreadzone and iration steppas, much fun.

till next year.

My third Glastonbury and for sure the best yet.

arrived Saturday 20th - wish I could put pictures in here to show the views of an empty site.
Stewarded Ped Gate C for my three shifts of volunteering for Oxfam and two of those were before the gates opened for the ticket-buying public. All shifts done and dusted by Midnight Wednesday.

Musically, not a great festival. Neil young still has it, Springsteen? not so sure.

Lily Allen gave us a good sunny afternoon set on the Pyramid Stage, as did Jason Mrazz on the Other Stage. Missed pretty much all of Bloc Party in favour of the hugely disappointing Doves, but did catch the encore which was announced with the words "Where the **** do you think you're going, we haven't finished with you yet!"

The thunderstorm on Thursday was spectacular and the resultant mud only a minor irritant.

The best bit?

Glastonbury is one of the tidier festivals, but there could never be enough bins. The Wombles come out at dawn and pick it all up. Many of them are volunteers who do it for the chance to be there for free.

But if you think Glastonbury looks bad at the end of the day, you shoold see Leeds!
