Jaime raping Cersei not great IMO. Her seducing him on the alter so he'll kill Tyrion is the final act before Jaime realises how evil she is. Weird seeing it from a view that makes him darker and shifts pity to her?

Caused a stir amongst all fans. Really bad idea IMO. As said in the other GoT thread one of the most popular characters in the books may never recover on the TV show.

Well this is starting to diverge from the books a bit!

In general I'm a fan and some stuff has to change eg bran only gets a few chapters per book and is mainly used for workd building and prophecies. Can't really do that on TV so I like the way they're taking it.

The Jamie/Cersei scene I don't think was intended as rape although I can see why people viewed it as so.

Agree. No wilding attack from the south then?

And if we can't be that far from the war at the wall, Stannis knew he was heading there ages ago.

And a leader white walker? Wtf??

The program seems to be well out of time with the books.

Pretty sure burnt sheep were well after where we are in the rest of things and Reek being asked to spy is far later than the Wall being invaded which is still yet to happen.

Almost wish i hadn't read the books, as I spend to much time thinking about it than enjoying it!

We are on ADWD content for bits of it now. Bear in mind that ADWD and AFFC run alongside each other and it's not actually that far ahead.

Yes but major plot points from ASOS still haven't happened yet. The series seems to be between books 3 & 5 right now.

http://fansided.com/2014/06/09/game-thrones-showrunners-4th-season-finale-best-weve-ever-done-bar-none/#

so the big question is will the final scene be the return of Cat? if so will it be a great wtf moment or a shark jump? this season perhaps the high point and it all goes downhill now?

Tyron escape/Tywin death perhaps? Whatever happens this has been a great series.

It has to end with Stoneheart imo. It's too perfect a cliffhanger for them not to.

If it was just in a random episode next season then I don't think it would be as good. There's also the fact that at the moment it's just one year after her character was killed off so people should remember who she is. Give it another year and some viewers may not really remember who she is which would lessen the impact.

"I've definitely got some unfinished business that needs to be resolved there. I'm obviously not Jon Snow's dad. And you need that to be revealed at some point, don't you? So Bran would kind of be the one having the flashback, and he would see Ned praying, right? And revealing those things? You never know what those guys are going to do with that. It's got to be something special. But I'm into that. I certainly would be into that."
