My poor young dog Susie had an injury to her right hand back stifle joint (cruciate ligament) last year. After spending 2 grand to which pet plan paid out her leg is completely recovered, this year while playing with another dog she incurred a cruciate ligament injury to her left hand back leg. And guess what Pet Plan refuse to pay, claiming it is the same related injury.  I must let David Beckham know his other knee is dodgy!! . This company in my opinion will try and wriggle out of claims so I would seriously suggest considering other pet insurance companies over pet plan. I was warned that pet plan were notorious for this but ignored the advice to my financial cost.

county court summons looks like the only way forward, even if I loose its only another 70 odd bucks and at least it will force a pet plan representative to waste a day of his/her life etc.  Pos EV in my book.  That a you tube campaign and my dont insure with pet plan shirt I intend to wear at any poker tourneys I play.!!

Rant over

Good luck with the county court thing. Hope the dog is ok

Don't let it piss your life off too much though.

who you gonna summons to court? a couple of sales guys I know have been taken to court and just stood there and said I don't own the company, I'm not a director or even a manager and that was the end of it.

i imagine you can't summons anyone you like tho, if you wanted to sue sky tv for teaching bad strat or something you couldn't force murdoch to appear at the local county court?

You summons the company itself.  What happens is some minnion from complaints either turns up to defend the case or no-one turns up and judgement is granted by default.

You then give the company x amount of days to pay

They normally dont so you issue a warrant of execution and accompany the bailiffs to the head office when they serve the warrant.   That is when the s hit hits the fan, as the bailiffs can remove the goods to the value.

Done it before with a major bank who ignored the summons, accompanied the bailiffs to the local branch, the look on the managers face was priceless and I got my money.   Deffo pos ev Smiley

Direct Line ftw with pet insurance.

Costs a fortune but they pay up no questions asked.

+1, though only up to £750 I recall.

My personal favourite is claiming £250 off B&Q.

I bought a £250 swing set from B&Q in to their 75% off sale, hence I only paid £62.50.

B&Q couldn't deliver all the bits and offered a £62.50 refund + £20 voucher. I argued that they had broken our contract and sued them for the replacement cost, i.e. £250.00 - RESULT!!!
