http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8397691.stmLOL at the New South Wales RSPCA, they press charges for killing and eating a rat but it's clearly ok to eat other animals while they are alive as long as one of their officers is present. Having seen this show over the last few years I am surprised to learn they even have RSPCA in New South Wales.
