Looking at restarting with the poker; currently sitting in FCO compound using their superfast connection (not what u know, its who u know :-)  ).

Just started 3 MTT's and taken a bit of a kicking. Very ring rusty. Have already realised I was getitng a little excite at playing again and have slowed down a bit. Things are improving in this tourney...

Any suggestions on (short & long term) strategies for easing ones self back into poker?

You're already doing it. Posting on forums is good way to regain/maintain finger on the pulse of what's the gig with the pokers.
