Trying to figure out whats going on without actually going out to ask.....

Around 30 mins ago I heard a police siren, I look out the window and a special unit police car is speeding into my street.  The 2 officers get out and quickly run to the bridge behind my house which has a railway track.  On there a train has stopped right on the bridge.  Officers were carrying a massive bag with an orange jacket/blanket.  1 of them went straight for the front wheel and the other went along the carriages to look around.

No ambulances, fire brigade or other police have shown up, nobody is being evacuated but there is a big crowd outside.

Im grinding tourneys and Im too lazy to go out to find out and despite probably having the best window view in the street I cant see much so.....

Can anyone guess which sort of emergency would match this description?

Can you describe the train in more detail?

Diesel-hauled, DMU, Freight, Light?

50 duck-sized horses hijacked a train but drove it straight into a horse-sized duck which had strayed on the tracks.

Train is now gone after an hour.

Found out someone was on the tracks a little further up and got hit, train took a while to stop.  No ambulance in my street as the person was apparently spread along the track with body parts everywhere Sad

Don't worry too much about the person who got hit. Almost definitely wanted to do it.

There's loads top themselves by train. Pretty efficient method one would imagine.

I remember a few years ago when I was heading home from work and the trains on the line were delayed for over an hour at rush hour because of a suicide on the track.  I got the bus instead but seeing tons of people desperate to get home from work, sitting around and seething their nuts off at the delay and inconvenience caused to them was the day I decided that if I ever choose to kill myself Im jumping on the busiest track possible right before rush hour to cause the most inconvenience to random strangers as possible on my way out Cheesy
